The role of the Committee is to organise events and activities that raise additional funds on behalf of KRFC for the benefit of the Club and its members.
The Committee is chaired by Elizabeth Bewley-Jones and consists of members drawn from all sections of Club Members.
Committee members are Nikki Barlow, Chris Bowles, Alice Honeywill, Linda Cope, Steve Ellis and Patrick Robinson.
The Committee run several ongoing events that raise the much needed funds to help the Club undertake additional works such as the recent Kitchen alterations and the upgrading of the showers in the changing rooms.
The 100 Club. is a monthly draw for £30, £20 and £10 prizes. Quarterly prizes are increased to £50, £25 and £10 with a mega draw at Christmas for £200, £100 and £50. The annual subscription is £25.00 payable by standing order. LESS THAN THE COST OF A PINT A MONTH.
50/50 Draw. is held on each Saturday where there is a home fixture for the 1st XV. Tickets are £1.00 each and the winner takes 50% of the pot!!!
Beer Festival. The Committee runs the annual Beer Festival which is held at the Creeks End Pub on the Quay during August. A wide range of draught beers are on offer with tombola, lucky draws and pub games to provide a day out for the whole family.
Wine Tasting. The Wine Tasting evening is held locally with presentations on a wide range of wines with a full four dinner. A popular event which is always sold out.
Race Night. The Race Night evening offers an entertaining night out with the chance to make a killing on the Tote, enjoy a meal and meet other club members out of season!
In addition the Committee are planning a number of other activities for 2009 which include “An Auction of Promises” which will be held at the Creeks End at the start of Kingsbridge Fair Week, a Juniors Disco to be held after the Club dinner in May and Barbeques on President’s Day in April and at other major events during the year.
